Teeth Whitening

Everybody loves a bright white smile, and there are a variety of products and procedures available to help you improve the look of yours.

Many people are satisfied with the sparkle they get from brushing twice daily with a fluoride-containing toothpaste, cleaning between their teeth once a day and regular maintenance at your dentist’s office.  If you decide you would like to go beyond this to make your smile look brighter, you should investigate all of your options.

There are several approaches you can take to whiten your smile:

Zoom In-office Teeth Whitening

Your smile is one of the first things that people notice about you.  Lifestyle factors such as drinking coffee, tea, red wine, cola or smoking can lead to staining of your teeth over time.  Professional tooth whitening is a safe, convenient, and effective way to turn back the clock on your teeth.

Make your smile whiter and brighter with minimal effort.  Zoom In-office whitening is a procedure designed to lighten the colour of your teeth using a combination of a hydrogen peroxide gel and a specially designed ultra-violet lamp.

The Zoom whitening treatment is comparable to at-home tooth whitening, which takes two to three weeks to complete. However, Zoom produces maximum whitening results in the shortest possible time – one dental office visit.

Home Tooth Whitening

While Tooth Whitening with at-home whitening trays feature the convenience of nightly use, tooth whitening kits still use the professional strength gel employed for in-office whitening.  These kits can be purchased from your dental office and offer the benefit of being able to touch-up stained teeth when necessary.

To begin the at-home tooth whitening process, we construct custom mouth trays into which the client places the tooth whitening gel.  The client then wears these overnight for two to three weeks.   The desired level of whitening is usually reached at the two week point and, if desired, this process can be repeated at 6-12 month intervals with touch-up kits.
